Ethical Sourcing, Anti‑Discrimination & Equal Employment Opportunity Policy

Purpose

This policy sets out Recrute Genio Pty Ltd (ABN 37 691 591 303 | ACN  691 591 303) commitment to conducting all recruitment and sourcing activities in a manner that is lawful, ethical, transparent, and free from exploitation or unlawful discrimination. It applies to all candidates, clients, and third parties we engage with in the course of our business.

1. Modern Slavery & Ethical Sourcing

  • We uphold the principles of the Modern Slavery Act 2018 (Cth) and take reasonable steps to ensure that our operations, and those of our clients and suppliers, are free from modern slavery, forced labour, servitude, human trafficking, debt bondage, and other forms of exploitation.

  • We will not knowingly source, refer, or place candidates into roles, industries, or supply chains where there is a credible risk of such exploitation.

  • We expect all clients, suppliers, and contractors to comply with applicable workplace, human rights, and anti‑slavery laws.

  • Where we become aware of a credible risk or incident of modern slavery in connection with our services, we will take appropriate steps, which may include:

    • Ceasing the engagement;

    • Reporting to relevant authorities; and

    • Notifying affected parties where lawful and appropriate.

  • We reserve the right to decline or terminate any engagement where compliance with these standards cannot be assured.

2. Anti‑Discrimination & Equal Employment Opportunity

  • We comply with the Fair Work Act 2009 (Cth), the Equal Opportunity Act 2010 (Vic), and all other applicable state, territory, and federal anti‑discrimination laws.

  • We apply the principles of equal employment opportunity in all candidate screening, sourcing, and referral activities.

  • We do not discriminate, directly or indirectly, on the basis of: race, colour, descent, national extraction, social origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, intersex status, age, disability, marital or family status, pregnancy, religion, political opinion, or any other attribute protected by law.

  • All candidates are assessed solely on their skills, qualifications, experience, and ability to perform the inherent requirements of the role.

  • We expect our clients to uphold the same standards when engaging candidates we refer.

  • Where a client request or instruction conflicts with these principles, we will refuse to act on that request and may terminate the engagement.

3. Application & Enforcement

  • This policy applies to all recruitment and sourcing activities undertaken by Recrute Genio Pty Ltd, including online interviews, candidate screening, and referral to clients.

  • It should be read in conjunction with our Privacy Policy, Terms & Conditions, Website & Service Disclaimer, and Scam Alert.

  • Breaches of this policy by clients, candidates, or suppliers may result in termination of engagement and, where appropriate, reporting to relevant authorities.

  • Nothing in this policy limits or excludes rights or obligations under applicable laws that cannot be lawfully limited or excluded.

4. Review & Updates

This policy will be reviewed annually, or sooner if there are changes to relevant laws, regulations, or industry standards. Updated versions will be published on our website and made available to clients and candidates upon request.

We acknowledge the traditional owners of the land where we work and live. We pay our respects to elders past, present and emerging and celebrate the stories, culture, and traditions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island elders of all communities who also work and live on this land.
